A woman from Kiambu is accusing her in-laws of allegedly plotting to harm her and grab her properties years after her husband’s death.

Alice Jambi Mutura, in a painful narration, said that since the death of her husband in 2021, she has been receiving unwarranted attacks from her in-laws, who are after her properties in Ruiru.

She said that the attacks have targeted her family and her properties.

“Some of my properties in Ruiru have been damaged, and this is just some of the injustices I am passing through,” she said.

She further told the press that her in-laws have been stressing her, planning attacks on her life, and she no longer feels safe in her own country and home.

“My life is in danger; my in-laws have been plotting my downfall, and today I no longer feel safe. They are after my properties after the death of my husband,” she said.

As of today, the matter has been reported to the authorities, and the detectives are still doing their investigations.

According to some critical documents and information in our possession, the woman has filed a suit in court trying to fight over how she will save her properties.

She accuses the in-laws of forging the will document to defraud her of her properties, contrary to the law.

The properties in question are valued at Sh-, and family members from her late husband’s side are salivating over them.

“Some strange people have been attacking me and my family members and have destroyed my properties in Ruiru, and these attacks persisted after my husband died in 2021,” she said during our interview.

Confusion over the letter of administration and the court’s rejection

The court has so far refused to confirm for almost four years the letter of administration that identified Alice Mutura Njabi as the administrator.

This has raised concerns as the land remains docile.

The letter had confirmed Mutura to undertake faithfully and administer the property as per the law, but it’s yet to be confirmed by the law.

The ruling on the matter will be on Friday.
