KUSO President Antony Manyara has been awarded a doctorate degree (PHD honoris causa) in leadership and youth advocacy at the Heim Weldios University of Management and Technology in Abuja, Nigeria. Manyara, who was happy to be crowned with a doctorate, thanked the university for the great honor.
“I take this opportunity to thank Welders University for an award of Honorary Doctorate Degree (PhD Honorary Causa) Philosophy in Leadership and Youth Advocacy,” he said in his statement.
The KUSO association also congratulated its president on his remarkable achievement of earning an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy in Leadership & Youth Advocacy from the prestigious university.

Last month, Manyara petitioned the Parliament to compel President Ruto to declare femicide and GBV a National Disaster Manyara filed the petition at the National Assembly compelling MPs to direct President William Ruto to declare Femicides and Gender-based violence a National Disaster.
This comes after the country witnessed an increasing number of Gender Based Violence against Women and femicide-related deaths.
“That the National Assembly to swiftly and Experditiously address the surging cases of Femicides and Gender-based violence in Kenya in accordance with article 119 which encapsulates that every person has the right to petition in Parliament to consider the matter with its authority,” read Manyara’s petition in part.
He urged the National Assembly to move in and compel the President to urgently act on the matter.
” The National Assemply is implored to urgently call upon the President to officially declare the surging cases a National disaster because the declaration will underscore the severity of the crisis and also formally recognize the gravity of this crisis and initiate the mobilisation of the requisite resources,” he added.
Manyara’s petition was received by the clerk of the National Assembly on November 15 and it has highlighed seruous articles of the constitution that he be respected and adhered to.
Manyara said in his petition that section 2(4) of the Kenyan constitution stipulates that any Law including Customary Law that is in consistence with the constitution is void to the extend of inconsistency and any act or omission in contravention of the constitution is invalid.
The KUSO President further told the Mps that the law provides that every person has an obligation to respect, uphold and defend the constitution quoting some parts of the constitution that enhances human dignity , equity , social justice, inclusiveness , equality human rights and non-Discrimination and protection of the marginalized.
