A Nairobi-based businessman, Parminder Singh Manku, was charged on Tuesday with three offences of alleged theft, forgery, and fraud in a company where he was a co-director.

Parminder Singh Manku was presented before Milimani senior principal magistrate Robinson Ondiek and denied the three charges levelled against him.

One of the counts stated that on the diverse dates between August 5, 2021, and October 23, 2023, in Westlands, Nairobi, a director of Elite Earth Movers Limited stole Sh71.5 million, the property of the company, which came into his possession by virtue of being a director in the company.

He was released on a bond of Sh3 million or paid a cash bail of Sh1 million.

The court ordered the accused to be supplied with the necessary documents pending trial and set the hearing for May 11, 2023.
