Sarafina Muthoni Njeri charged with attacking another woman, causing her serious injuries

Sarafina Muthoni Njeri who attacked another woman with a bottle of beer, causing serious injuries to her face, has been charged in court.

Sarafina Muthoni Njeri was charged before Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Samson Temu on Monday with the offense.

The complainant, PQ, was relaxing at a pub waiting for her friend, who was attending to other pressing issues when she was allegedly attacked.

The attack left the complainant bleeding profusely. She was aided by her friends, who rushed her to Nairobi South Hospital, where she was also attended and issued a P3 form.

The charge sheet read in court says that the accused person committed the offense on March 3 in South C in Langata Sub-County within Nairobi County.
She, however, pleaded not guilty before the court and pleaded for a lenient bond term.

The court released her on a Sh50,000 bond with an alternative cash bail of Sh20,000.

The magistrate directed that the accused person avail herself in court later this month for a pre-trial and further directions
