THARAKA-NITHI: Whenever the sun shoots its rays to welcome the morning, it’s every farmer’s joy that they will have a fine and awesome day ahead.
It is a relief to the vulnerable residents of Tharaka after the county government heeded the request of the president Dr. William Ruto upon distribution of fertilizers to the farmers. They have greatly been overjoyed by the act which was led by Tharaka-Nithi County governer, H.E Onesmus Muthomi Njuki, who was welcomed by Hon Kithuka, who serves as Nkondi Ward MCA and deputy county speaker.
This happened days after the two grazed the official opening of the Kiaga Water Project for the Nkondi residents. The farmers have been pleased by their ward representative for looking into matters affecting them and keeping his promise to ‘paradise’ their region.
“I’m glad of Hon. Kithuka for the wellness he’s bringing into our region. He promised us water for our farming and it was in order after the completion of the intake; just a matter of distribution to different areas now which we are certain sure it’ll happen. We’ve seen our governor visit us again through our MCA to distribute fertilizers. He’s working restlessly to attain his promises,” Raphael said.
Mr Ben, the beneficiary of the projects in the ward and a farmer, noted that the ward representative is also working on the roads to prevent their residents from being hindered from carrying on their businesses and transportation even after the promised el-nino falls.
