Governor for Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya says operations in his county have been paralysed by a financial crisis.

Natembeya has criticised the national treasury for failing to release funds to counties for the last four month.

“Our services are now crippled because treasury has been withholding the county share of national revenue”, said Natembeya.

Natembeya says te county administration has had to rely on loans from financial institutions to pay its workers’ salaries as the delays in disbursements hinder effective service delivery.
